Lil Nas X is trending worldwide and has become the most talked-about artist in the world. More than a guy with incredibly catchy songs, Lil Nas X opens up today on his Spout Podcast episode about breaking the internet, becoming an author, dating, and how fame has changed his relationships.

His new song (accompanied by a controversial music video), Montero (Call Me By Your Name), released just five days ago, is simultaneously #1 on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. However, some are uncomfortable with his recent release. Lil Nas X responded to the backlash on his Twitter.

“There was no system involved. I made the decision to create the music video. I am an adult. I am not gonna spend my entire career trying to cater to your children. That is your job.”

Like Ozzy Osborne, Mapplethorpe, Kiss, David Bowe, and Eminem before him, his content is upsetting some; but he is active on social media, reminding people to be themselves.
