Jason Derulo has been in the spotlight since 2009 for his multi-platinum hits, but it’s been during the Covid-19 Pandemic that he has reignited and reinvigorated his career by becoming one of the most followed artists on TikTok amassing over 44 Million followers and 1.0 Billion likes.
The conversation with Jason Derulo is led by fellow TikTok star Josh’ Bru’ Brubaker. During the podcast, Jason offered the up-and-coming fellow influencer some motivational advice:
“A lot of really talented people just let life happen. In the beginning, they were so hungry and focused on this one thing. They want to make it so badly that their hunger makes it happen. The problem is when they get there, their work ethic starts to slow down, and new hungrier Jason Derulo type wants it more than you do, and if you are not careful, they’re going to take your spot.”
In today’s Spout Podcast episode, Jason shares the secret sauce behind his successful TikTok recipe: “I really immersed myself as part of the TikTok community. It’s not me trying just to promote my music. I see too many artists do that, and it’s almost disrespectful.”
